Muhlisin adalah staf pengajar di Prodi Bimbingan Konseling Islam, Fakultas Dakwah, Universitas Islam Cordoba Banyuwangi. Ia menyelesaikan S1 di Universitas Jember dan S2 di Sosiologi Universitas Airlangga. Mengampu mata kuliah Sosiologi Pendidikan, Filsafat Umum, dan PPKN, Muhlisin mengedepankan pendekatan kolaboratif dan adaptif untuk membangun pemahaman kritis dan inklusif terhadap realitas sosial.
